Soil Nails
Small-scale special foundation engineering technologies
The technology of soil nails consists of setting nail equipment (concrete profile diameter 20-32 mm or fiberglass of the same diameter) in a borehole filled with cement grout. After solidification, the nail can be activated through the nail head (sheet metal plate), through the nut or by welding the plate onto the nail part extending from the borehole. Nails can be realized in temporary or permanent form (corrosion protection of nail gear and head).
Nails are used for temporary or permanent stabilization of slopes of construction pits and for notches and walls of linear transport structures. They are mainly used in combination with gunite (torkret) or more precisely nets with geocomposite and separation geotextiles.
